Join Anita & Beth in helping to make sure that no survivor or family goes through the brain tumor journey alone!

Anita and I began running together in 1987 when we met during our freshman year at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. 35 years and countless races later (some together, like the Boston Marathon in 2006 (see attached photo of us as 'youngsters') but most apart) we have decided to join forces and run the NYC Marathon in support of the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation.

I have had the great pleasure of working with the folks at the CBTF for over 13 years, first as the Camp Director at Camp Mak-A-Dream, and now as the Vice President of CBTF Family Programming and Events. Anita has been with me throughout my journey and has heard countless stories about the amazing CBTF survivors, families, friends and staff that have impacted my life in so many ways. I feel privileged every day to be a part of such a caring, vibrant, resilient, fun and dedicated community and am beyond thrilled to be joining forces with Anita to raise money for such a worthy cause!

Over 4,000 brain and spinal cord tumors are diagnosed in the United States each year in children and teens. The impact of the diagnosis lasts a lifetime and affects every member of the family. CBTF is committed to providing support from the time of diagnosis throughout a family's journey. They provide resources, peer mentorship, support groups, educational workshops, activities for fun and more to survivors, parents and siblings. Once you join the CBTF family, you are a part of it forever.

Please help us in making sure that CBTF continues to strengthen and expand the programs that help to keep our community connected and strong. If you can, please consider making a donation of any amount. Even a small donation will go a long way to helping to make sure that brain tumor survivors and families get the support they need. Together we are stronger! Thank you! With much love and gratitude, Beth & Anita
