I am honored to join the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF) team for the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon. I was moved by their mission to provide life-long support to children with brain tumor diagnoses and fund cutting-edge research in the field. Neuroscience has always been central to my academic efforts. Graduating with a degree in neurobiology from Georgetown University, I was to devoted investigating ways that neurological disease can be better understood, treated, and how to protect vulnerable populations from its painful, burdensome effects. I hope you'll join me and CBTF in this race against the clock to fight pediatric brain cancer. I'm so grateful for your support and the opportunity to run on behalf of this noble cause.

More about CBTF:

The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation was founded in 1988 by a group of dedicated parents, physicians, and friends to improve the treatment, quality of life, and the long term outlook for children with brain and spinal cord tumors through research support, education, and advocacy to families and survivors. Your generosity helps us achieve our mission of supporting families through CBTF programs, resources and community connections. By joining Team CBTF, you also support critical research initiatives, including the Children’s Brain Tumor Network (CBTN), a worldwide network of dedicated individuals and institutions committed to accelerating cures for children diagnosed with a brain tumor.

CBTF believes in the importance of being responsive to the needs of everyone in the brain tumor community regardless of their racial/ethnic background. We believe in the importance of a culture that values people of all racial/ethnic backgrounds. We value the many identities that an individual brings to the community and honor and appreciate the intersections of these identities. Our practice values respect, integrity and honesty. We are committed to inclusiveness.
