Your efforts help us achieve our mission of supporting families through CBTF programs, resources and community connections. By joining Team CBTF, you also support critical research initiatives, including the Children’s Brain Tumor Network (CBTN), a worldwide network of dedicated individuals and institutions dedicated to accelerating cures for children diagnosed with a brain tumor.
My personal connection to Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation began when my son, Noah, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor named DIPG. CBTF connected me to a monthly virtual meeting where researchers and doctors presented the latest clinical trial information. I was able to connect with parents and feel a part of a community and received valuable support and information.
Unfortunately my son, Noah passed away in February this year. He was incredibly brave and someone I admired greatly. I have always been physically active and have run short distances but running a marathon seemed daunting so I never pursued it. Because of Noah, I have decided to challenge myself and complete my first marathon in honor of the brave soul he was and I know he will be cheering me on along the way. I also want to give back to this amazing organization that supports families in so many wonderful ways.
