$6,568 towards $3,000

On April 19, 2017 my youngest son was diagnosed with a BRAIN TUMOR. It was one of my scariest and saddest days. Until June 22, 2017 when we were told my son had a cancer that did not respond to treatment and we had no options. I held my 2 year old son and sobbed. How can it be there was no hope. The reason is pediatric brain cancer research is so underfunded that this is the story for many families. We relied on research to give us hope and Eli used an unconventional path to give him more time.

Eli would learn to run, jump, climb, ride a bike, play soccer, and down hill skill. Even in the face of so many obstacles, he put the work in to celebrate his achievements. He wanted to run in the Olympics and we had a Eli Olympic event for him. He was told that his tumors had significantly grown and the chemotherapies were no longer able to maintain his disease. What did Eli say, "I want to run the mile at school and be on the wall of fame." Guess what, Eli did that. Sadly our warrior died in October 2022.

In rememberance to my fighter, I am honored to run NYC marathon. I will carry him every step of the way. Please consider donating to this effort.
