I am excited to be running the NYC Marathon and raising money for the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation. CBTF was created to improve treatment, quality of life, and long term outlook for children diagnosed with brain and spinal cord tumors. This is achieved through research support, education and advocacy for families and survivors.
Children's Brain Tumor Foundation is very close to my heart. I will be running in memory of my friend John Shapiro. John lost his battle to brain cancer at the age of six. He was not intimidated by anything and had infectious courage. John's memory inspires me everyday. By supporting CBTF you will be helping children and families like John.
