Dear Friends and Family,
I'm excited to share that I will be walking the Chicago Marathon this year to support a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. In 2021, my son Louis was diagnosed with a brain tumor, a challenging journey that tested our strength and resilience. Thankfully, Louis is doing well now, and I am also on the road to recovery after my own battle with head and neck cancer in 2023. It was a long and painful journey that hopefully we never have to experience again. I am not sure how far I'll make it, but I'll give it my all. In my past marathon I met amazing and resilient people that tried their best and gave all their heart to soul and finished the marathon, while facing a disability. I hope to do the same and plan to give it my all until I hopefully finish.
This marathon is not just a race for me; it's a way to give back to an organization that has made a profound difference in our lives and the lives of countless others. The Children's Brain Tumor Foundation is dedicated to advancing research and providing support for families navigating the difficult path of brain tumor treatment.
I’m reaching out to you, my community, to help make a difference. Your donation will support crucial research, improve treatments, and provide vital resources for families who are facing similar challenges.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us move closer to a world where brain tumors in children are no longer a life-threatening condition. I am walking for Louis, for every child who battles brain tumors, cancer, and for families like ours who are striving for hope and healing.
Thank you for your support and generosity God bless. Together, we can make a meaningful impact.
With gratitude,
Sergio A. Gonzalez
